Our Displays

The theme of the museum displays center on transportation and its effect on the area communities. Before the causeway coastal boats provided transportation as displayed in Mark Boudreau’s model boats. An extensive photographic exhibit shows how Mulgrave, Point Tupper, and Port Hawkesbury had primary employment serving the rail and automobile ferries and servicing the coastal boats. The construction of the causeway and canal is displayed with the creation of an ice free port and development of the industries with the resulting major economic upheaval in the strait area communities.
